1.Register a twitter app, fill the following items as the text on the right, and fill the others as whatever you like.

Choose browser

Callback URL: http://xxx.apppspot.com/oauth/twitter/callback

Read & write

2.Register google appengine, download and install sdk of google appengine for python and python for win or mac.

3.Download gtap r74, then change the following codes.

First, app id in app.yaml.

Second, consumer key and consumer secret in main.py.

4.open cmd, appcfg.py update c:\gtap –insecure

5.Open your page of app: http://xxx.appspot.com

OMNIC 8.0

Omnic 8.0 is desgined imcompatible with windows7. Here is a way of installing it on win7 32-bit.

1.Right click on the autorun ion in the setup folder, choose property.

2.In compatibility tab, check run this program in compatibility mode for windows sever 2003.

3.Install it as you usually do.

iTunes error

When you open iTunes the following message may appear:

“Warning! The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.”

Attempts to burn CDs may also not complete in iTunes, with the message “Disk Recording not found” flashing in iTunes.

Thinkpad 8588 keyboard driver

I installed Windows7 64-bit version successfully this afternoon. But when I insert the driver cd lenovo distributed together with this keyboard to the cd-drive, I found it didn’t contain driver for 64-bit windows at all.

I googled several times and found no useful web pages.So I write this post to be googled by people who may seek for official driver.

I found driver on http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-73235 , you can click to download it.

Nokia Gmail contacts sync

Today I try to sync contacts between symbian E63 and Gmail again, and found the sync tool of symbian system can do it well.

Please note that this way doesn’t require mail for exchange client of Nokia, which is not pre-installed for many machines such as mine and mentioned in many google’s results of syncing contacts.

Do as follows:

Menu->Tools->Sync
Options->New profile
Applications->Contacts->{Yes, contacts, Both ways,}[case sensitive] back
Connection settings->{1.2, Google, Internet, Always ask, https://m.google.com/syncml, 443, ***@gmail.com, ***,Yes, No, No}[Also case sensitive]back
Done!

Windows下建立SSH服务器

1、http://Cygwin.com，下载Cygwin。

2、在线安装，选择NET-SSH+SSL。

3、用鼠标右键单击我的电脑 –>属性 –>>高级 –>>环境变量，
A．在系统变量框中新建变量名为：CYGWIN，变量值为：ntsec tty 的变量。
B．编辑path变量，在原变量值后加上以分号分隔的C:\Cygwin\bin字符串。

4、进入/bin 目录，

ssh-host-config -y

5、使用bitvise，生成KEY，再按OpenSSH格式导出。

6、

mkdir /home/***/.ssh

7、建立authorized_keys

把第五部导出的key用记事本打开写入authorized_keys。

8、chmod 644 /home/***/.ssh/authorized_keys.

OK！Have fun！

其实呢，Schnauzer建这个服务器是为了偷偷用学校数据库的，呵呵。你也可以建一个，这样就可以在任何地方使用你们学校买的数据库了。

Ubuntu下配置WebDAV服务器

Here,my intension is to create a webDAV server to use Goodsync to sync files between my X61 laptop and EEE PC.

I tried 3 times,and googled several related articles.Here is the list of links.

Before you can use my article as a tutorial,you’d better already understand commands such as sudo,ln,chown,chmod which are foundamental for Linux.

Here,I assume that you have acquired them.

1.Install compulsory components.

I.Install apache2 server:

sudo apt-get install apache2

II.Enable related modules:

sudo a2enmod dav_fs

sudo a2enmod dav

sudo a2enmod dav_lock

Apache server read the symbolic links in mods-enabled folder to determine which modules to load.So we can create symbolic links to reach the same destination.

You can take ln -s command to make symbolic links of webdav related modules in mods-available folder to mods-enabled folder like this:

sudo ln -s /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav.load /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dav.load

sudo ln -s /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_fs.load /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dav_fs.load

sudo ln -s /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_lock.load /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dav_lock.load

sudo ln -s /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_fs.conf /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dav_fs.conf

III.Restart apache2 server:

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

2.Create a virtual host for webdav

mkdir /var/www/sync

chown www-data:www-data /var/www/sync

www-data is the default user of apache2 server.The second command is used to make the directory accessible to apache2.

You can change the green italic words above and below to whatever you like,because here,it is just a folder we create to place files.

So it is totally arbitrary.

3.Create users:

htpasswd -c /var/www/me.dav

sudo chown root:www-data /var/www/me.dav

sudo chmod 640 /var/www/me.dav

4.Config the virtual host:

sudo cp -a /etc/apache2/sites-available /etc/apache2/sites-available-backup

sudo gedit /etc/apache2/sites-available/default

It obvious that the first line is to backup your default settings.So you can recovery at the least cost when you failed.

Clear the existing codes in gedit and Copy the following into it.[Change the green italic parts in your own case.]

NameVirtualHost *

        ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost

        DocumentRoot /var/www/sync/
        sync/>
                Options Indexes MultiViews
                AllowOverride None
                Order allow,deny
                allow from all
        

        Alias /webdav /var/www/sync

        
           DAV On
           AuthType Basic
           AuthName "webdav"
           AuthUserFile /var/www/me.dav
           Require valid-user

Restart server again:

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

5.WebDAV it!
